Mappa Burl over Maple plywood shells
Shells are 7.5mm thick

Bass drum and Snare have alternating Maple and Walnut 45 degree re-rings installed for maximum durability and projection.
Full round over bearing edges on the toms and bass drum.
Snare drum has 4mm outer round to inner 30 degree edges
Shells have high build satin finish over and Ocean Blue/Teal stain
There is some very nice burl figuring in these shells

This is the first plywood kit I have built.

This kit sounds FANTASTIC! The round over edges provide great control of unwanted overtones making it easy to tune.
The bass drum with added re-ring has great projection and its designed to be played with nothing inside the bass drum.
The head selection and edges make for a beautiful full tonal spectrum punch.
You don’t play any of your other drums filled with pillows and blankets… right?!
