14 x 8 Maple STRAIGHT-STAVE model at 15mm thick

This Maple has been thermally modified.
This is done through the process of Torrefaction. The wood is heated in vacuum chamber void of oxygen.
Many high end luthiers use this wood for custom shop guitar builds due to its incredible stability and sonic properties. Check out the demo below, sounds incredible!

This drum was a prototype for a batch build but I’m considering a different size now

This shell has a double round over, 3/16 radius outer to 3/4″ radius inner bearing edges.

All staves are tongue and grooved together.
Triple flanged 2.3mm hoops.
20 strand brass wires. Standard throw.
Mini modern double ended tube lugs.
Remo Ambassador heads
