2.0 mm Seamless Aluminium shell anodized in red

Anodizing happens at a molecular level so its as close to being a raw shell as it could possibly be.

It also looks great and has the protection to keep it looking like new for many years.

The anodizing processes can be a little tricky so there may be little imperfections where the dye didn’t take or have water stains etc, this is normal and not considered a defect.

This drum has a furniture grade Birch plywood shell extension inserted into the shell on the snare side.

To get the plywood to look stripey I machined the pieces to 12 degrees to expose the lamminations before machining the tomgue and groove into each stave.

The birch plywood will remain dimensionally equal to the Aluminum part.

The lug bolts hold the two components tightly together.

Brass lugs with chrome hardware and Triple flanged hoops.

This drum has a nick on the shell, the drill I use for assembly has a removable chuck that wasn’t locked in proper and fell out and damaged the shell when attaching the badge. ARGH!! Priced accordingly.
