14 X 6.5 WALNUT REINFORCED

Description

14×6.5 Walnut shell.

This STRAIGHT-STAVE shell has 2 ply walnut staves, with a single layer of woven fibreglass material glued in between the laminations with epoxy resin glue.

The material is only 0.12mm thick but it adds an incredible amount of strength to the wood.

This shell is a close to a regular stave drum that I can create and avoid the fragility associated with stave construction.

Shell is finished with an open grain texture.

Triple flanged hoops, black nickel hardware.
