Description

1.6mm Aluminium shell anodized in blue.

This is a prototype shell to test the anodizing process.

Anodizing happens at a molecular level so its as close to being a raw shell as it could possibly be.

It also looks great and has the protection to keep it looking like new for many years.

This shell has a few minor blemishes, the electrode that was used in the process has left little contact marks on the edge of the shell.

These can only be seen when the head is off the drum.

There were tiny colour variations around the bead too so I applied a silver pin-striping to hide those.

Its a perfectly functioning and great sounding snare drum, but the price is reduced to reflect those little imperfections.
